FOR RETREATS
What I found is that most emerging leaders are afraid of conflict in their team. They rather have people bored and unengaged than deal with open hostility. They also feel frustrated by the few strong personalities in their teams. They don’t feel equipped to handle conflict because they are not therapists or coaches and because “people should leave the drama at home”. Yet, they recognize the tension and are frustrated that this team dynamic limits their teams ability to be innovative, collaborate and thrive in uncertain times which then reflects poorly on them as managers. They may have tried talking 1:1 with people, they may have worked with an executive coach, but the reality is that things will NEVER improve until they start looking at the team as a whole instead of the individual. In order to get their team back on track and utilize everyone’s passion and creativity they need to learn to leverage retreats to unleash all of the human capital present and set the path to success!
